Shepherds during Biblical times wore mantles. In the old days this was primarily made of sheep's skin and the shepherd would wear it with the wool on the outside when the weather was warm, and with the wool on the inside when the weather was cool.

Today this is a heavy ponte knit fabric decorated with a black binding trim. Includes a deluxe braided headband with elastic adjustment in back.
